Horse racing has been adapted internationally in US, Australia, New Zealand, and some parts of Europe. Most of the time, it is defined as a sport wherein you have to guess the winning horse and bet on it. It may seem as simple as that, but looking beyond that, lays different definitions.
One of the essentials of Horse Racing is to explore its environment. You’ll have to keep yourself updated and be well familiar with the rules in terms of betting and playing the game. Money is the basic contrivance of this game. It would be uneasy to just hand down money to lose consecutively, the reason why you’ll have to learn how to manage it well. The Four Categories of Horse Racing are as follows:
1.Stakes race. It is the most common and known in the world. Stakes race only accept the best horses to join and compete against each other, however, they still need to be registered. Since it is only open for the best horses, expect high bets and winnings if you’ll join in this category.
2.Maiden race. It is the opposite of Stakes racing. Horses, inexperienced or not, who never won in any races will be competing against each other in this race. If you’re a beginner, this race is the best for you to speculate and add knowledge about racing by observing each maiden horse.
3.Allowance race. In this race, horses are simply for preparing them in future stakes races or maiden races depending on their performances. And such, if you want to get high potentials in winning, this is a must try but it’s not the same as stakes races.
4.Claiming race. From the root itself, to “claim” a horse. Get the chance to pick a horse that you think will win, and if does, you’ll be able to own that one and get the winning cash prize after the race.
The basic nature and categories will help you understand the true concept of Horse racing. The most important factor however, is a personal or first hand experience of the game rather than reading.
