Anna Kurnikova is a Russian tennis player who was born on June 7th, 1981 in Moscow. Anna Kurnikova first performed at the Federation Cup at the age of 14 an in 1915 she won her first professional title. Her attractive appearance with blond hair braided into a high pigtail brought her a lot of fans and popularity far beyond the courts. In 1998, the magazine "People" included Anna in the list of 50 the most beautiful people of the Planet. And you can bet she well deserves this title.
In 1999, Kurnikova won the first title of "Grand Slam" by winning a victory at the Australian Open in doubles competition. In 2000, the Web portal Lycos said that the name of Anna Kurnikova is one of the most highly requested in search engines. In December 2004, the rumor was spread that the tennis player was married to singer Enrique Iglesias, but this has not yet received official confirmation.
Maria Sharapova
Maria Sharapova was born on April 19th, 1987 in Tyumen region and is best known for winning Wimbledon at the age of seventeen in 2004. Maria started to play tennis at the age of 5. The sportswoman steadily worked on her skills and in 2003 she won the Open Championship in Japan. Sharapova sometimes gets involved in model work and is often compared to Anna Kurnikova. The British newspaper «The Guardian» named Sharapova as the tennis player with the most promising future ahead of her.
According to the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Maria’s nickname is Siberian Serena as she was born in Nyagan located in Siberia. Also Sharapova is known as "screaming Cinderella”, because she behaves loudly while hitting the ball. Newspaper «The Evening Standard» stated that her voice sometimes reaches 86.3 dB. This is the same as standing next to a roaring motorcycle, or screaming Gibbon in the zoo. Quite a voice for such an attractive tennis player!
Amanda Kettser
Amanda Kettser was born on October 22th, 1971 in Hoopsted, South Africa. She is known as the best African tennis star. She started her professional career in 1988. After the season of 1997, Amanda achieved third place in the world rankings. By the end of 2000, Kettser won 7 titles in singles tournaments and seven doubles titles.
Sometimes Amanda Kettser is called "giant killer": despite the growth of 158 cm, she often beats the best players. Just like Anna Kournikova and Martina Hingis, blonde Amanda Kettser mainly gained her popularity among fans due to attractiveness. Nonetheless, she is a very talented player and you can see her amazing skills on various tennis courts spread across the world.
